Making the life she dreamed
of —
Jolie grew up doing ranch work in central Montana and
she liked working with animals. Some day, she thought,
it might be a way to earn more than a ranch hand’s
wages. In the meantime, she was getting by.
Then she saw an ad describing the opportunities REO offered
for seasonal farm and ranch wage-earners like her. She
called, and soon was on the way to realizing her dream.
With REO’s help, she was able to start on-the-job
training with a local veterinarian, someone who needed
the help but couldn’t afford to train and pay another
worker. REO helped pay her wages during training, helped
buy the required tools, and even helped with specialty
training so she could do basic lab work.
Jolie is working side-by-side now with an employer she
enjoys and admires. She’s developing new skills
and doing work she loves. Her employer is getting more
done, and their combined talents benefit their community.
REO
means opportunity for farm and ranch workers & their
families.
